Overhead bunk assembly

2015 FR3 30DS. Does anyone know if the two brackets, connecting the two sections of the overhead bunk, are supposed to be loose and bent?

Thanks,

Curt

Not sure I understand, but I'll take a shot. If the brackets are the magnetic cups screwed to the ceiling then yes they have to be loose.

Nope. They broke on ya same thing happened to ours fr sent us new ones but the screws in the bunk were totally bent. We replaced them with high grade nut bolt and washers lock washers and also used teflon washers. .. our bunk went down once! And busted. Poorly engineered system ..

The bunk brackets on my 2015 FR3 were aluminum. And were badly bent, not sliding properly, the bunk would lower slowly, then slam down at the end of the travel. I ordered replacement slide brackets (dealer charged me like 35 bucks for them). The replacement brackets are steeland have a lip bent into one edge for strength. I plan to find or turn 4 shoulder bolts so the slides can work properly. Something on my "to-do" list. I also need to find or make a ladder.... The original isn't there any more.

On mine the ladder is strapped to the ceiling of the garage, or pass through storage in the rear compartment on the passenger side.
