#12, end site. No more pulling head in allowed though. Allegedly someone knocked over a utility pedestal pulling straight in and the state is now enforcing the back in only rule.

I know the space. Nice one. Bummer that someone had to ruin the head in.

drivmsafe & leisurelarry, I admire the state of California and the campsites you stay at!!! Florida is not a horrible spot, but the grass is always greener.......,)

Never really understood the pullin vs backin sites though? Let the driver/camper decide what the view should be/effort to hookup, no?

I'd rather pull in at a beach front site, and use some xtension hose for the pedestal?

That being said, im.a rulefollower at campsites. We are guests...

Not to be Debbie Downer, but please be watchful of rattlesnakes. I think it was in June that one was seen down on the dry beach sand. It's the beach, but it's still CA.

Seems like backing in is riskier to bumping into something than heading in, to me.

Is this campground across PCH, or right at the beach?

I agree! I have no idea how someone would drive into a pedestal here, they are so far out of the way.Click image for larger version

Just completed 21 states and 6wks on road

Great trip, rig held up well from So. California to Virginia Beach and back. Took I-70 there and I-20 & I-40 back.
This is just one of the stops. Fruita Colorado (James M Robb Colorado River State Park Campground) You can see the Grand Mesa Monument.
