Propane tank

Has anyone checked to see how much propane there tank will hold. my tank was empty the other day and they only got 14.6 gal of propane in it. The valve shut it off before it was full. i know there is expansion room but this is a little to much.
My rig is a FR3 2016 30s

I remember reading here somewhere that they are only 18 gallon tanks in those units, so at 80% that would be 14.4 gallons.

I'm sure someone with real experience will be along.

Nope. Thats about right.

The tag on the tank said it is 24.5 gal tank. Thanks for reply.

I'd measure the tank to make sure the tag matched the actual tank.

24.5 gallons is 100# so that's a standard size.

If it's really empty you should be able to put in close to 20 gal.. If you're only getting 14 you might have a defective gauge.

We re-filled ours when the gauge outside on the tank was indicating 1/4 (although the LED meter inside the coach was indicating 1/3), and it took 19.5 pounds to fill-up,

Did you put 19.5 pounds of propane in or 19.5 gal of propane in?
