Marv,

Yeah - after looking at all the options for a radio install, I decided it was not worth the trouble - there will be 23 other RVs so I am not too worried about being 'alone' out there

As for the kitty - well, she DID go with the DD but the DD comes and visits on Sundays and guess who comes along?

Pros and Cons Litter Box Mod

The first thing we did was switch to crystal litter... that has helped with the tracking tremendously. I still would rather the litter boxes out of the living area if possible, so I think we'll probably attempt a cat door through the bottom of the bed.

BUT we have a leaking windshield and broken TV to contend with first...

We have a 2015 30DS as well, and one 8 lb terror who kicks litter like it's her one mission in life. We keep her box in the shower and cover the shower floor with a large towel to prevent debris from getting down the drain. Her litter is World's Best multi-cat formula (she's disgusting, so her tiny self gets multi-cat) and it doesn't track. Like I said, a huge kicker... she will go play in her litter box just to kick around, not even to do her business... multiple times a day.

We have been full time since June, so I'm really curious what you settled on as a solution?

This is Piggy btw. Click image for larger version

We found putting one of those recycled polyethylene door mats in front of the box collected a lot of the litter off their paws and helped localize the mess

You guys are certainly living the dream! We are hoping to start full timing next year, but have run into a couple of hurdles that need to be overcome first. Kudos to you for getting out there! How is your FR3 working for you as a full time home?

We haven't gotten past the crystal litter yet, but that has really reduced the tracking issue for now. I still think moving it to the basement with a pet door through the base of the bed is the way to go, but we just haven't had the time to tackle that project. With 3 cats, I don't think we can get away with just one litter box either, so we need to decide if we can live with one in the shower/in front of the passenger seat as well, or if we are willing to give up more of the basement area.

Piggy sure is cute!

Let me know if you attempt that mod, or do something different with Piggy's box.
