Any Forest River folks planning on making the event this year, if so do you folks camp together?

We are new to RVing but we live in AZ so this sounds like fun. I don't have any idea about where to camp and we may not have our TOAD ready. The car is too new so they don't make the parts for it yet.

If others are going it would be great to camp nearby.

Lets get a group together at Q the last two weeks in February. We have not been there for about 5 years, but we have always had fun Boondocking on BLM land.

Salty man while I totally agree we should try and get FR owners together, the big yearly RV show is Jan 17-25 2015. I understand there is plenty of desert to camp in out there. Auntieshoes we live in California but have a condo on the river we are at all the time. I was reading on another website, ivr2, where the different folks get together once a year to have fun and talk about things. We aren't new to RVing but like you we don't have a tow ready yet either waiting to find a kar kaddy ss used, but that hasn't stopped us from going anywhere when our rig isn't in the shop for those stupid warranty repairs

OK, we are easy, let make it January for the show. (:>) Camping spaces are abundant in Q, no problem there.

First, let me give you my thoughts on the plan:

Boon docking at Q is different than having a big hall for meals or activities, so I believe social activities should be around the campfire and each rig is responsible for their meals, except for one or two pot lucks.

Water and potty pump out can be purchased by those in need.

Every rig needs to have a generator or solar unit to charge batteries.

I doubt if more than 6-8 rigs participate in our get together.

We can buy firewood and have it delivered to our site, and we can pay for it by donations.

Your thoughts?

Sounds like good simple ground rules to the wife and I. 70 degree days is pretty hard to pass up.
