Question for the group

Hello all

We just traded in our Forest River Stealth toy hauler for a new 30DS and picked it up today.

Couple of questions hope anyone could help with.

1. We only got one set of keys. Were we supposed to get two?

2. Mary followed me home in my truck (about 150 miles from Fresno to the coast) and swears I never drove over 50 when I had the cruise control set on 60. Weird.

Thanks all.. I have learned a lot on this forum before we chose and bought this motor home. I brought up most of the key issues to the dealer's service department well ahead of delivery time so I will be curious to see if they or the factory addressed these problems like they said they did.

Hope I can repay the favor with new information. Hope to see some of you on the road.

I got 2 sets of keys. As for the speed, the FR3 30DS will rock along at 60&70 mph. Maybe the truck speedo is messed up. Download a speedo app and see what that says.

I cannot speak for a FR3, but did get two sets of keys with my Flagstaff trailer.

As for the speed thing, have you changed the tire/wheel size on either your tow vehicle or her chase vehicle. You can look at the tag on your drivers door jamb to see the OE tire size. If you put larger or smaller than OE diameter, your speedometer will be off as it's set for the OE diameter.

An easy way to check both vehicles speed is a GPS unit. Just about everybody has one now. GPS receivers are pretty accurate at showing speed, especially if driving straight.

I would find a measured mile and check the speed, the DOT may be able to direct you too one.

Use your gps to see if the miles per hour are correct. Most gps have your speed on them.
