Rapid Front Tire Wear

Does everyone follow the manufacturer recommended tire pressure posted on the wall beside the driver's seat? I have a 2014 30DS, took it into the Ford dealership for a scheduled service and the tech says the front tires are wearing quickly on the outside edges. The posted recommended label on mine says 82 PSI, which I had followed. He had to boost them up to 95 in order for the outer edges to rise above the ground. The back tires at 82 are wearing fine, but the fronts are getting close to cautionary, at least on the outer area, and that is at about 15,000 miles. With the higher pressure up front the ride is a little harder, which is not surprising. The tires have a rated PSI of 110. Anyone experience a similar problem? Is this likely an alignment problem rather than an incorrect tire pressure.

Ruined the factory Goodyear tires because of an improper alignment. The wear was on the inside of the tires. The "total toe" was so far off from where it should have been. I replaced the Goodyears with a set of Michelin XZE's same size. They run at 110 psi. An alignment, a new set of outstanding steering tires, a Roadmaster reflex steering stabilizer, Koni shocks all around and the CHF front and rear. The coach behaves very well now on the road.

Run my tires at 100psi, sounds like you have a toe in problem . have only 4000 miles on mine and will keep eye on them. Also Adjusted front and rear sway bars it is a must do (chf) Oh and a Safe T Plus Steering Stabilizer .

As stated, that is an alignment problem, not air pressure. Toe in or camber is not correct.

I run my tire pressure in the mid 90s, Canuck. I think the motorhome handles a little better at that pressure (without feeling like I'm rolling on rocks) than when the tires are at a lower pressure. I had the tires rotated at about 6000 miles and I put covers on them whenever the coach is sitting for more than a day or two. Take care of those tires - they're not cheap to replace!

I agree with the other commenters that this is likely an alignment issue. If you haven't had your FR3 aligned since you bought it, I highly recommend it. Mine was well out of alignment when I bought mine.

I only have 6,000 on my tires 2015 georgetown and my front tires are worn unusable after one long trip to Florida and back to Texas, inprocess of trying to get alignment and replacement tires as we speak

Picture this. Chassis gets built, front end gets aligned. Chassis gets shipped to FR, coach gets built. Chassis squats from load, alignment gets changed. Coach goes to dealer, then to you.
