Refridge issue

Our fr3 2015 25ds refridge is popping the 15 amp fuse every time it is turned on, any ideas where to start looking for the issue? I am guessing we have a bad ground but all the wires are really confusing to a novice. I have been told that my extended warr. will not cover wiring issues? Anyone else having or had this? It took 16 months for this to show up. Oh, its doing this whether on 12 volt or 120

is it doing this when you are trying to run it on propane? Will it run on AC power (120V)

Ran out of 15 amp fuses playing around with it. No it will not run on 120. Hooked up 120 an as soon as the on/off button is pushed in it blows. Did not try it on propane only, need to get more 15 amp fuses. thanks

Yea, you have a short. Start by checking continuity of the 120VAC heating element, check polarity of the 120 plug in. Check for loose wires at the fuse. Disconnect the wire bundle at the circuit board and check for loose or broken wires. I have seen a cat whisker (single strand of wire) that did not get inserted correctly short to another terminal causing issues. Plug the wire bundle back in securely and try again. Post back with your results. My guess a fraued wire shorting to ground.

I would not continue to put fuses in it. It seems like it may be the main control board which is powered by 12V may be shorted.
