Refrig on propane

I'm probably repeating numerous threads on this subject but I think my refrigerator is not running on propane. Where and how can I check to see if it is working. Thank you as always

The easiest way is to remove your outside plastic refrigerator cover(the one with the two black plastic screwdriver slotted twist screws) and listen for the sound of the burner flame. If it's really quiet and the fridge is running on propane you'll hear it. Other than that some minor disassembly of the tin work to reveal the burner tube and see the blue flame is needed. It's quite simple and all that's needed is a screwdriver or two. And not the one with Vodka.

We are plugged into our house power should the auto button be light I want the refrigerator to run only on are power we only owned this for a month still pretty clueless of what's going on

Our refrigerator only option is off or auto. While plugged in to electric it runs of electric. When disconnected from electric it automatically switches over to propane. Same for the opposite. While running on propane and is connected to electric is automatically switches over to electric.

I thought that if the check light was on that is when you have a problem. Mine is not lit but when I wee off of shore line and drove to my destination, the temp dropped in the refrigerator and was warm

Our check light came on once I forgot to turn the propane back on after storage. We've never had a problem with temp on propane use though. You can try turning off your propane to verify the check light illuminates.

Make sure your temp slider is all the way up on your coil too. It does take a while to get it back to temp after loading it full before a trip. We usually load it full of groceries a day or two before we head out.

Make sure to bleed air out of propane line other wise refrig may not light. Turn on the stove burners and light them to get air out of system then try refrig on gas. Later RJD
