Thanks Brewster. I thought those were what you were referring to. Any chance you could post a pic of how you used them from inside the grille? I don't mean to be a pain. I'm not the best fabricator and I'm just trying to get ideas. I've had the screening (using the same screening they use to protect sliding screen doors from dogs), just haven't come up with a good method to install. I really like the tie strap idea.
Thank again!

Here's a close pic of the tie wraps through the fibreglass grill. Drilled the holes from the inside out. Hope this helps, it was real easy!

A big help Brewster. Thank you very much. I can see now from this picture the mesh size.

Always nice to see more FR3 owners in Calif. seems the majority of FR3 owners are in the Midwest area. We are in Upland. Spent many a summer up in the Arrowhead area (Twin Peaks).

A thousand uses for wire mesh. Nice job! I did the same thing on my Corvette's grill. Since those cars are 'bottom feeders', they act like a vacuum cleaner going down the road. One piece of gutter guard and two zip ties worked like a charm. I also used gutter guards on the back side of my fivers refrigerator outdoor vent access panel. Mice last winter scurried up the side of the unit under the cover and found a home in the insulation behind the panel. That should keep the furry lil' buggers out this time.

did mine a little different, didn't want to drill the grill, so I made a frame, a little more costly
