Rust Underneath Furnace Vent on 2018 FR3?

Has anyone else experienced this issue? The gel coat is bubbling right around this screw on the plate surrounding the furnace vent bug screen. Any thoughts?

We've only had her for a few weeks, and haven't used the furnace ...

Just a guess, but I bet it was scratched and some just used touch up paint instead of sanding, prime, paint and clear coat. just my thoughts

We had the same problem. We attended the International FROG rally this year in Goshen and mentioned it as a factory service repair item. FR replaced the door and put on new decals. They stated that the original screws were over tightened and broke the paint seal.

Contact your dealer as it should be covered under warranty for repair.

Good catch. I would never have noticed this.

Not about your vent, but my new 2014 FR trailer had a severely rust propane tank that was just painted over with new paint.

The toilet was labeled as a 2008 model.

The RV industry is not very reputable.

The propane tank could have been from the dealer not Forest River. Our dealer removes the tanks and fills them but does not put them on the trailer until sold. So as in our case the model marked on our tanks was not ours.

Doubt that forest river plants have a lot of old stock of anything sitting around I would bet that the dealer replaced the toilet as well.

I think that you are blaming the wrong people.........
