Shelving question

So need to put some shelves in my new coach. Looking to put them in the bathroom cabinet, one side of the armoire in bedroom and the coat area as you enter the coach. I have seen a lot of pictures and thank you. Quick question .... With no solid studs to anchor the shelves to ...how have you found is the best way to support the shelves?

all applications will be different, but where I added a shelf in our bathroom, I was able to rest it on the board above the window and also screw into the cabinet side, ..... I couldn't find any studs either, so I added a good number of screws into the wall thru both of the support boards at the back of each shelf,.... it has proven to be very sturdy and a very useful addition to our trailer .......

... ok, at first you didn't say you wanted to put them in a cabinet, so my shelves do not apply to your post,.... oh well......

Thanks. It's helpful. We are looking to put shelves in the cabinets. I'll give it a shot. Did not know if I had to put supports in corners from the base of the cabinets. That way the weight would be concentrated on the base of the cabinets.

I installed shelves in the bathroom, kitchen, bedroom and over driver/passenger windows up front. I used shelf "standards" for all of them. I attached them with short screws but ran the standards all the way to the bottom of each cabinet so the weight was being supported by the cabinet base. I used 4 standards for each shelf location. Standards are designed to allow multiple shelves which are also adjustable with little metal clips that attach to the standards. This work was done on a 2015 FR3 30DS. We've owned it since Feb. 2015, and the shelves have never failed us. Good Luck

Thank you. You confirmed what I was thinking about the weight issue. I'm going to go with your suggestion and go with the "standard" idea.

I used Gorilla Glue with light weight 1/8 inch playwood, and gave me extra space. Also installed a piece of wood in the front with Velcro to keep things from flying out when driving.

I used 1/2 X 1" wood cut to the height of the shelf, held to the wall with double-sided tape. The shelves sit on top and are screwed into the supports. I added screws threw the front supports into the wood of the cabinet. Solid and no screws into the outside wall.
