Slide Squeak

Living room slide squeaks behind drivers seat while driving on my FR3 30 DS. Any ideas other than turning up the radio. Thanks

Maybe you should check the cable tension. It may not be closed on the drivers side.

Thanks, cable tension seems to be good. Slide even with slide closed.

You might want to look for contact on the slide out rollers. They might need some dry silicone lubrication applied.

Had the same problem, fixed it by putting aluminum shim plates under the slide out where the rollers ride. Started off only doing the outer edges but eventually did the inside ones too. I wrote about this within this FR3 forum.

Careful that only makes it worse as you now have a more slippery surface ( coefficient of friction changed) for the plastic roller to move on. The whole slide is moving towards the driver and then towards the back. It needs to be shined.

I had a similar noise. It was hard to find while driving. Anyway thought the noise was coming from the slide and found it was the bunk above the drivers seat that was a squeak at the latch.

You might want to try experimenting with the slide cable tension. We had a squeak, which stopped when I relaxed the cable tension a little. I bring the slide all the way "In", and then press "Out" for a split second. The slide doesn't actually move outward, but the tension on the cables is decreased.
