many MH owners rely on roadside assistance if they ever have a tire problem... often time too heavy to deal with on your own on the side of the road

We built a spare tire assembly from a visit to the RV Salvage Yard on our way to Alaska. Tire and rim was $250. We carry it in the pick-up bed of our toad. I have been toying with adding another frame crossmember in the rear with spare tire winch. There is another thread in the forum where someone has made one along this idea. The Roadmaster spare tire carrier is the easy option, but did not want to pay the $600 they want for them. I continue to look for a used one.

I just bought a spare tire with no rim. I have Good Sam to replace it for me if needed. This is my 5th RV and so far have never needed a spare tire. Just stored it in the pass through on my 32DS.

I did the same. No rim, just a tire.

Most of the people who will come out to rescue us will have the tools to mount the new tire on the rim.

The odds of them having a tire that fits.... pretty low.

Exactly what I did 4 years ago. Ready when and if the need arises.
