Steering Stabilizer

For my 2019 fr3 30ds

My last class a had a Safe-T-Plus steering stabilizer and made long drives easy, 1 hand or finger. Never got tired steering. I went with same brand since it just worked for me. Install took me 1 hour and same amount of time to center (so it would steer without drifting left/right. Very happy with unit on my FR3.

Install videos are OK from Safe-T-Plus on youtube. Watch a few of them to make sure you get bolts, nuts, and washers oriented correctly.

Here's what I installed. Ordered everything in amazon.
  • Safe-T-Plus RV Steering Stabilizer 41-180 White (RV Steering Stabilizer, RV Steering Control, RV Safety, Truck Steering Stabilizer) $499
  • Safe-T-Plus RV Steering Stabilizer Mounting Kit (Model: F-105K2.5) $61

500.00?

Glad to see the suspension snake oil sellers can still fund their Ivy League educations with the profits from a 30 dollar shock absorber and its brackets.

F53chassis suspension “upgrades” are all 4 times the cost of similar offerings for less popular chassis platforms.

1000.00 sway bars, 200.00 shocks, are large fractions of the cost higher than similar commodified parts for other models.

Owners regularly boast of 5000.00 “investments” in these band aids with resulting poor performance still apparent in their assessments.

Properly setup with the tire air pressures and sway bar mounting settings results in the chassis being tolerable by most.

I went with the Blue Ox TruCenter steering stabilizer. It has a button on the dash to re-center if in a crosswind. Only other change was the CHF. But my FR3 28DS is also two foot shorter than the FR3 30DS on the same 190" wheelbase.

Tire pressure should always be keep at the recommended pressure.
