I wanted to ask if anyone else has installed a cover for the inside entrance door to the FR3. I noticed that my puppy, mulligan wanted to walk around when the door was closed. My grandchildren did the same thing. This presents a problem after the door is closed leaving a large hole where anyone can step into and be injured. I decided to take a piece of 1/2 plywood 24 X 44 and cover it with carpet and cut out the upper left corner to fit the door. This has worked very well. Our first trip last week to the beach went very well once we were at the camp site. I put the board down and we did not have to worry about anyone falling down the steps or out the door. Just wanted to pass this on for anyone with pets or grandchildren.

What holds the cover up at floor level? Did you bevel the edges? It appears from the pic that it doesn't overlap the rubber trim prices. Perhaps a pic of the cover held sideways not in the floor?
For now its held in place by four oak 1x2's, see attached.
Although it seams to offer support for my 200lb frame, I always looking for a better idea. I may use metal pieces, cut into the step edge and attach it better.
