Step Retract problem

I have a 2015 FR3 and my latest problem is the door steps will not fully retract when door closes. The start to retract but about 2/3 of the way up they stop. If I apply hand pressure to the bottom of steps as they are retracting then they will fully retract. If anyone has a fix for this problem please email me at jcooper1946@gmail. com.

I'm not going to email you, but you can try to lube everything before anything else. Moving parts that are exposed to weather need lubing.

Could possibly be a broken tooth on the motor gear. If so, a new step motor is the fix. A very simple thing to do. Also, as Witch Doc posted, every hinge point on your steps needs to be lubed regularly. I use a spray gear oil monthly.
