Stock shocks

Can anyone who has removed the stock shocks off their FR3 post what the collapse and fully extended lengths are of the stock shocks? I feel this would be great information. Thank You.

I just ordered rear shocks and can get you some numbers for those at least. The fronts already went out with the trash.

Stock shocks

Shockwarehouse.com, $636.80 for the front and rear set to the house. They have free shipping I believe through the end of June.

No I ordered on the website. On their homepage click on the yellow motorhome tab at the top of the page, then click on Ford, then click on F53 chassis motorhome class A and click on the year of your chassis. You'll get price for Bilsteins and the Koni's below that. Still showing $636.80 out the door with free shipping!

They are not showing availability for a 2015 chassis, I have a 2015 FR3 on a 2014 chassis. It says to call if you don't see what your looking for. 800-245-7469.

Most likely the same as 2014 as FMC did not change any thing.

Even though my FR is a 2015, the FMC chassis is a 2014. Look at the window sticker or go to Ford.com owners and enter the vin number. You will get all the info you wish.

But my understanding is the FR3 is not on a F53 chassis, it's a F550 chassis

I'll have to do more research to find the differences ( if any )

We have a 2015 30DS, but its on a 2014 F53 chassis. We got our FSD shocks through Ultra RV Products

8805-1018 for the Front
8805-1019 for the Rear

I believe most sites haven't added 2015 F53 to their catalogs, even though I'd have to guess all the parts are the same. I've ordered quite a bit of parts and haven't had any issues with fit.

Maybe the size of FR3 is the main issue
The 25 is a F550, the 30 F53 ??

Rear Shocks

So on the Rear Shocks (2015 30DS (sitting on a 2014 F53 chassis) in this case), here is some data:
16" compressed
25" extended
3/4" ID x 1 3/4" wide for the attachment point (I don't know if this is standard shock knowledge, but I figured I'd take the measurement while I'm at it.)

Also, anyone who has installed the Koni FSD on the rear, did yours come with a dust cover on the upper shock? Mine didn't, though the front that I've already installed did. So I'm not sure if I'm missing something or need to order some aftermarket covers prior to installing the shocks. Idk.

My FR3 25DS came with Bilstein shocks, front & rear

Are Koni shocks that much better?

What difference do you realize with the Koni over the stock shocks?

Main deal for me was going over expansion strips or smaller ruts in the road. I started with just the front because I was hesitant and it made a difference. I don't know how much the rear will change things, but we'll see.
