Stove vent

Our FR3 30DS has no vent to the outside from the stove hood. Apparently this is common. We found out when the smoke alarm went off while cooking. Has anyone modified this to have an exterior vent? This seems unsafe due to fumes trapped in the coach. In warm weather you can open up windows.
Looking for a better solution

We installed a MaxxAir 7000K in the living area vent. We've never had the alarm go off while cooking. It's on the reverse setting which pulls out.

Thanks. That's probably the easiest solution. We're new to motorhomes. Always campers and trailers before. Having fun with the "BUS"

Same here Martin. We were tent campers for over 30 years and then went to a TT. The FR3 is our first MH and we really like it. Sure, little things can go wrong but, overall we like our "beasty".

I thought the hood shared the black vent on the roof above the fridge. Wrong?

I'll have to let my wife make garlic bread again and run outside to see where the smoke goes.

If you look under the hood you will see a rectangular opening just above the light. Turn on the fan and you will feel the airflow coming out of the opening back into the hood
