Sumo Spring install on rear

My son is going to help me install my rear Sumo Springs, SSR-187-40-1, on my 28DS. Is it possible to do without removing the duals?

Not really. You have to get a drill in there and apply pressure. You could struggle depending on you drill, but just easier to take them off. Good luck.

Most Sumos have a no drill install. That said I am unfamiliar with every Sumo install on my 150 no drill required. When I installed a similar product on my dually I had plenty of room to work.

X2. Will make it easier to apply straight pressure. Have a block of wood handy for the driver side to protect the lines running on inner side of rail.

Go to e-trailer.com. Look up the sumo spring part number and you will find a video on how to install. Probably your model even. Very helpful website.
