Suspension Mods?

Hi Guys, I've never properly introduced myself.........I'm Barry and live in Las Vegas and a proud owner of a 2015 28 DS. We have had our initial break in, 4 days and about 500 miles in the UT mountains. As I expected it's the worst part of a car and the worst part of a house combined and I love it.... We are new to the motorhome world and I have many, many questions. But for this thread, what have you guys done if anything to improve the road manners of the coach.
I know this handles a little differently than my motorcycles but can the tippy hippo be controlled a little? Anti-Sway bars, alignments etc....I'm not looking to spend a fortune or make this into something it was not intended to be.
I really appreciate your experience. Thanks Barry

This forum is going to be your new bible

I got a wheel alignment and the CHF (cheap handling fix) and the improvement was very noticable. See chf in the forum, ford dealer did it for 30 bucks when I got the alignment done. There is a link to a manual you can take to the dealer, explains it all. You will need to add screen to grill as a easy and inexpensive do it yourself, see rock in AC condenser in this forum. These are the top 3 improvements you need to look into. Enjoy and read every post in this forum, great people, will teach you a lot and save headaches and dollars.

More about the alignment and Cheap Handling Fix.

Forest River will pay for the alignment because your MH has NEVER had an alignment, Ford doesn't do it when they build the chassis because they don't know what will be built on it, Forest River doesn't because...

The CHF is better than cheap it's free here's a link.

For lots more CHF info use the search feature above, search for CHF or Cheap Handling Fix.

In addition to proper tire/air pressure, the alignment, and the CHF, we added the Safe-T-Plus Steering Control.

Our Products | Safe-T-Plus - The Steering Control Specialists

You'll learn a lot doing searches here and on the web. Take your time and take it easy.

Oh...and another thing.....kind of unrelated, kind of not... I much prefer the feel of the coach when I'm going between 55-62 mph.

I talked to Kevin Stratton at FR, and he told me this...loosely quoted: If you take it to our service place (wherever that may be) then we get the bill. We will still cover it if you use your people, but we will reimburse you.

Since I was leaving my coach at my chosen service center for other work and wanted them to do the alignment, I opted for the reimbursement option.

Do CHF, re-do tire pressure according to weight, inflate air bags if you have them.

It won't do MACH 2, but I can get a sandwich and take a pee.

Ford only needs the Vin # for alignment.

I don't have access to the work order right now, but I pointed out the factory sway control bars to the tech and showed the two possible settings to him. Fortunately, I was dealing with someone who knew exactly what I was talking about and understood what I wanted done.

Look under there yourself and make sure you see the bars and the current setting; verify it is on the "soft" setting...probably is. That way you can go over it with them.
