tankless water heater

I'm considering getting a tankless water heater to replace the 6 gallon one on my 30DS FR3. Anyone have any experience with these and/or recommendations?

Thanks.

I don't but my BIL does have one. The only concern I have is that by going tankless, you lose the ability to heat using electricity. So, if you used to heat with electricity, then you'll use more propane than what you do now. If you heated with propane, you'll probably use less since you're only heating when needed instead of keeping the tank hot.

Ive been researching tankless as well. My home has 2 tankless units...one for an upstairs bathroom and a larger unit that handles everything else in the house. Had them over 10 years and love them.

So it struck me as odd that rv's didnt come with these...and why new homes are built with the terrrible tank systems. Tanks are terribly inefficient and also require a lot more replacement than a tankless.

The unit im leaning towards for the RV is the RV-550 unit. Hoping to do this mod over the winter to my 25DS.

There are smaller units from Girard and Atwood but both seem to have mixed reviews. The RV-550 seems to be the heavy weight.

I have one and have used it for two years. I did have it upgraded to the Garrard Genll and it works great. The two important considerations are water pressure and incoming water temp. We have a dial the allows us to adjust the BTU's of the unit and it does require some adjustment when we move or if using tank water or well water.
I love ours and would hate to go Back to a tank system. Good luck.
