I would have to test it before using it. It tells me that it is 220V.

Without being there with a multimeter I can't be sure, so take this at your own risk..

It looks like a L14-30 (it will likely say this on plug somewhere) which has 2 hot wires for 240 also a ground and the neutral. An adapter that just uses one of the hots and the neutral and the ground should feed your rv just fine.

If it is the plug that I think it is, and it's wired correctly, here is how it and the adapter would be wiredClick image for larger version

That's a 30 amp 4 wire twist lock. Commonly used for a generator. Should be wired 2 hots a neutral and a ground for 240V. They do make an adapter that will only pull from a single hot giving you 120v for a 3 wire application like your rv. Not sure if you'd find it local, but HD has them on their website.

Not sure on the fuse. Do you have an EMS like the progressive unit? May want to make sure you have clean power on the gen cord before trying it again. May have been wired wrong.

Did you check to see if it tripped a breaker in your rv panel?

Well spoke too soon. Microwave fan runs clock and control panel works, plate spins. Just not heating water.
