Smile Tire Cover and Back Tire Air Questions

I have a 2018 FR3 29DS. I bought the wrong size tire covers from Amazon (the learning curve continues). The diameter of my tires is 33 inches, and about 9.5 inches wide, so now I'm about to order some bigger covers, but before I do, I value the input of other FR3 owners with tire covers. Any brands recommended over the others? Also, I need to know what others use to air up their inside back tires? Got my Vyair 450 air compressor, but I am wondering if there is an attachment that may be of use. If so, please share info. Thank you so very much in advance. This forum is so very helpful to me. Just a Mimi trying to Geaux Meaux often in my RV, but gotta make sure I have everything I need. LOL

My inside tires have a solid extended length steel valve installed on them that extends through the outside tire.

Is yours an FR3? And, if so, what year?

I like a spare tire on the back of my 5th wheel to have a cover, however I am not into replacing those cheap made vinyl covers ever year or so. I found a company online that sells a metal beauty ring with a fiberglass insert that fits over my spare. I had a personalized decal made and applied to the insert. The beauty ring is lockable and it also protects the tire & wheel assembly from the sun & rain.

Your welcome! Is the extended inside valve you found a flexible (braided) valve? I had my tires removed, had the extensions removed, the short steel valves removed and a one piece steel valve installed. Didn’t want anything between the tire and the end of the valve. Those extensions were nothing but problems for me.

Tires covers

Check out www.magneshade.com. Then under products. Look for tire shade. Pretty cool. Little pricey but maybe in the future. Thought it is a good setup. Saves crawling on the ground latching the straps and connectors together on hot asphalt or dirt. Thanks Jim

Just one more thought. I cut the straps off of my covers as they fit tightly on my tires and have never blown off. I never found it necessary to strap them on.
