I know the tow capacity on the 2018 30ds says 5k, but i see people towing some heavy vehicles. we just bought a new jeep 4dr with a 5400 lb weight. not worried about it but curious to know what other tow,
I generally tow our mini cooper + dolly whichis well below 5Klbs. But. we have towed full flat bed trailer and wifes suv out west the first year no issue. Was probably just over 5K. I prefer the mini as its a huge weight difference.
typically the hitch is the limiting factor most front engined RVs come with a 5K hitch. However that is not the only limiting factor front engined RVs tend to have a long overhang which limits the amount of tongue weight the structure can support safely. Tongue weight is not an issue when towing four down.

You'll be fine, especially if you flat tow the vehicle. We tow a 2013 Town and Country on a car dolly and I bet that is at least 5k. We've also towed a 3-horse trailer only a couple of times, and that probably was around 6k. Just make sure you have a brake controller.
