towing a jeep

I am about to purchase a 4 door jeep wrangler that has a 2 1/2 inch lift on it . wondering if anyone has ever towed a jeep with a lift on it . thinking the lift kit might cause some effect that makes towing it not a good idea??
Please let me know.

I used to flat tow my jeep behind a pickup to the off road spots. It had 5" of lift and towed fine. The only thing I had to make sure was the shank allowed the bars to sit how the manufacturer wanted, Level or lower. With the stock shank it sat higher and lifted on the ball if that makes sense.

You will have no problem towing a lifted a jeep. As Doc said make sure the tow bar is level. Your biggest issue will be the large tires you most likely put on to go with the lift. You will ware them out a little faster but should tow fine.

I would post it in the classified adds on this forum and also on the FMCA forum. They are both target audience and should get a good response. Also I think IRV2 And RVnet both have classified adds.

Of course I'm sure you have tried Craig's list. I buy and sell often on CL.
