If you don't mind sharing. What kind of trade in deal do you get being that it's not that old

I'm sure I could have gotten a better deal. But my deal was okay. When you trade in the only real benefit is tax. Gas RV'S depriciate pretty fast. What I will tell you is the DP is unbelievably easier for wife to drive. It's like the difference between a old 4x4 pickup to a Lincoln Town car. Now it's 6 to 7 foot longer, but the storage is unbelievably more.

Good luck on your new rig. I'd have to disagree with gas RVs depreciating any faster than a diesel pusher. JMO. A more expensive RV will depreciate more $$ than a gas unit, but we're only dealing with a $80k unit vs $175k unit. All in all, the FR3 fits its market, the budget Class A campers.

I completely agree with you. The market for gas units are on the rise due to fact Millennials are now in the market to purchase rv's. They are looking for something practical. I have a 2018 30DS and have been traveling the US for 3 months now and I get more complements on my unit saying it's just the right size for them.

Stephan FR3.
Congrats on your trade up! Sad to see one the original owners no longer will be here to share. You and I have (had) the same model / year and almost identical solves / mods.
I looked at the Thor some years ago but chose the FR3 based on the lower price. Good luck. Maybe illl have to test drive a Thor!

Enrico Palazzo! I think every coach will have some minor issues. Looks like an awesome rig. Enjoy!

Just did white sands. Lost a dolly tire in western Texas had pulled that dolly almost 30,000 behind the FR3 not sure if it was the heat the 4 year old tire, or that the DP is alot faster. Bought new tires and an $85 road service. It did rip the dolly fender to shreds.

Very odd. Those tires are normally 15's or larger. I doubt it had anything to to with the DP. However. I have found from my experience and that of friends towing pull behind campers when one tire goes the other is not far behind! Might make sense to replace the other side in advance and use the old tire as a spare.
Good luck.
FYI. Closer look at the the layout of your new 36.1 DP looks identical to the FR3 cept for a full rear bath?

It's possible that I inflated the tires 5 psi too much but not sure. Good reason not to rush getting ready for trip. I did have both replaced.

Our dolly burns through RH tires, guessing its due to the crown of the road. Also, if you ever need a tire/rim, check out Tractor Supply. We had a flat and couldn't find a 14" tire on a Sunday, but a local Tractor Supply had some in stock.
