TV Antenna
I have a forest river FR3. Just purchased it. No manual came with it. My questions: the king jack antenna inside on the ceiling..can it be adjusted to get better reception? Also I cannot get my DVD to play. What is up with that?

Contact your dealer that you bought your FR3 from. You should have received an owners packet with all the info you are asking about.

My DVD did not work either, took it back to dealer, not properly connected at the back of the Control Center. One of the easier fixes for the dealer.

Make sure you adjust the source on the TV it's self.

Tried mine today. To play a DVD, turn on the Kitchen TV and press the Source button on the Furrion remote control. Use the down arrow button to change it to AV. Then stick the DVD in the Panasonic player in the dashboard, it will read the disk and play it by itself. When the menu comes up use the PANASONIC remote control to select play or scenes etc. It's weird getting used to pointing the control at the dashboard to control to TV. Also, only the Kitchen TV is connected to the Panasonic, it does not play on the bedroom or outside TV's.
For over the air TV, turn it on and set the source to TV as described above. Then turn on the power antenna located above the broom closet next to the stairs. When we did our PDI, I asked about how to go about pointing the antenna and he told us it does it all automatically. I've only tried it near Chicago and all the stations come through perfectly. Now I noticed a King/Jack control on the bedroom ceiling and couldn't remember what it did, there was no book or reference to it in my package. On the internet I found out it is a meter for aiming an antenna, below is a link to the directions. I haven't played with it because I didn't know what it was but I'll explore it when I go out to the boonies over the weekend.

Just sweep it up and clean it with a damp cloth. We got some throw rugs down.

So you don't have a DVD player near the TV in the wall stereo? We have a 2015 and ours is next to the TV. But we didn't have a DVD in the dash. I did update the in dash with a touch screen with a GPS and moved the camera screen up on the dash so I don't have to look down at the screen when I want to see it. What do they have next to the TV now?

I just looked up the 2016 and noticed that. It looks cleaner, but not sure if I would like having to use the dash radio for all of it.

You could just put cotton socks on the Shelties and let them run around! Joking!

Correcting my earlier post, the DVD does play on the outside TV, and you can play the sound through the outside speakers. Set the TV source to AV and control the DVD with the Panasonic remote. It does not play in the bedroom.
I set the King/Jack antenna using the instructions I posted above. It picked up one more station than I used to get at that campground, regretfully the station was playing a Big Bang Theory marathon and even digital TV technology can't fix that.

We just took the plunge today and bought a 30DS. Take delivery next week. The one we bought I noticed didn't have an entertainment system installed in the cabinetry either. the salesman said it was all in the dash. Sounds like way too much gadgetry to jam into one gizmo. I wonder how it really works out. Also I noticed a tv jack of some sort above the broom closet not connected to anything. Seems like an odd place for that but I'm sure they will cover it when we take delivery. Thank you..

The Furrion DVD player will not play Blue Ray DVD's. It will only play regular DVD's.
My work around for the movie issue is that I bought an HDMI plug and then got an adapter for my iPhone or iPad, then plugged it into the back of the TV into the HDMI slot.
Now if we want to watch a movie we simply connect the iPhone or iPad and either play a movie that we have uploaded to the iPhone or iPad, or you can also stream Netflix if you have a subscription. Make sure that your phone or iPad is also blue toothed to the receiver so that you can get audio through the house system rather than just the TV. Works like a charm!

Thanks for the tips. I'll take a closer look when we get it and let you know what the jack over the broom closet is for. Does your in dash unit play blue ray dvd's on the Furrion?
