We replaced our torture device with a very comfortable and fully reclining unit from RecPro.com. Got this done be just in time for our next outing.

Some people will think you gave up another sleeping location from what was the stock furniture.....but we that can appreciate a much more comfortable lazy boy type recliner know better.

Thought I was getting comfy to watch a great movie....and woke up just in time to see the credits rolling by.

I like it! We've been thinking of doing the same thing! That unit appears to have the same footprint and extension, do you find this to be true?

I just ordered the free color swatches. How well does it appear to be built? Do the mechanisms seem solid? Thanks for posting this!

I'm always looking for reasons to cut out extra sleeping space!

RV rules to live by: Drinks for 6, dinner for 4, sleeping for 2!

Installation

Is the recliner unit attached to the floor or free standing?

Lazy boy has 77inch double reclining couch in their new catalog. I do not have a web address because I saw it in the showroom catalog. I have ordered one for our RV and will post a picture when it comes in.

How do you get these new chairs into the TT? Seems they would be difficult to fit through the entry door.

All Lazy Boy recliners, whether chair or couch, come with the backs removed. They will fit through the door easily.

Go to RecPro.com and check out their offerings. I ordered the 67" unit and it is shipped in three boxes. Easily fits through the door and takes no time to assemble. Very comfortable and appears to be well made.

It attaches to the floor just like the bed unit was.

Thinking about doing the same thing. How did you get the sofa bed out the door? Was there much disassembly required?

The back pulls off the couch and there are 4 screws holding down the base. I was able to get it out the door by myself then carried it in the house. It's not that heavy, but 2 people would make it a lot easier.

We bought a 86" reclining sofa, all 3 sections came apart and fit through our TT door. Pretty sure if it reclines, it comes apart.
