Water Sediment on filters help!

On my last trip to KOA I noticed that when plugged to the city water, my bathroom sink wasn't working. I unscrewed the filter on the tip and was packed of sediment! Cleaned it and was instantly fixed. I did the same on my kitchen sink which was clogged too.

Now, the big problem was my toilet! Which wasn't spraying when activated.. I had to wait till I got back home to try finding a solution. As getting a warranty appointment on any RV takes over a month I decided to do it myself. after watching some YouTube videos on how to install Dometic 300 series toilets I went for the kill and found what I thought was the issue, more sediment!! Cleaned it, connected it and it's working to perfection..

I have a filter on city water hose, a water filter on the connector to the Rv and the Rv itself has a filter... Where's all this sediment coming from!

Now, my biggest concern is the Water pump. I'm 100% sure has some sediment on it, even though is working I feel is noisier than before. Anyone has taken out the water pump of your Fr3 before? Where can I get parts? I'm traveling next week to NorCal and I want everything to be working.

Thanks for any help!

Common problem.
It's construction debris in all the hoses.
It'll clear up eventually.

If you have a Suburban water heater could be from the anode rod.

No need to disassemble water pump then? I feel as if I have to take it out and clean it

the filter ahead of the pump should split by turning the filter clear housing that has "wings" to grab and turn, it will disengage from the other half and you can clean the screen. You should do this on a scheduled basis also.

Do I need to purge the system first? Or just close the water valves going to and out of the pump?

Wink

Sediment from anode rod in water heater clogged ever faucet, toilet, and shower in my unit when it was de-winterized. Learned a hard lesson, to remove the anode rod and purge water heater before charging water system for first time. I have since purchased a new rod for install next spring. This fall I will take the old rod, cut off anode portion and put it back into heater as a plug for the winter. Hopefully next spring things will go a lot easier.
