I did the 5 star on my Dynamax.
Going to do the intake and exhaust next summer.

3 round trips to Florida in a 2017 sunseeker 3050s e450 with all compartments packed with stuff.

No ac on, 1900 to 2000 rpm, 52 to 60 mph. 11.3 mpg

With ac on full blast 10 mpg. Same speed and rpm range

2200 to 2500 rpm ave 70 mph about 7.5
All trips without tow car.

Aside from aerodynamic issues which are a given when driving a box on wheeis is the rear axle ratio.
Mine is 4.56 to 1. I would much prefer something in the 3.70 to 3.90 range.
Ford decided to gear it for the occasional owner who will venture to the heights if mt. Kilimanjaro to pull tree stumps. So short of swapping it for a more fuel friendly ratio my suggestion is.

Get an obd 2 scanner and learn how to manage her thirst. I use a scangauge 2. Best auto related purchase i have made in years. More info available on it than i could ever use.

Dan

What is your fuel average ?

If your mh had 3.70’s, it would never go into od, and be running 3k rpm anyways.

Also, with gearing like that, you would only have around 11k gvwr.

Did round trip to Disney World, from Jersey, with a side stop at brother in law's, in a 2016 Sunseeker 3010DS. Did 55-65 on highway, averaged 10mpg.

FR3 is on a Ford chassis. A Cummins isn't an option that I know of.

Future improvements

Yes, I also plan to add a Banks header. System and less restrictive Flowmaster Big Block 70 series or Banks provided less restrictive muffler next spring.

Genset is more like .5g per hour I've been told. I have a 4k genset and that seems accurate.

Toyota Tacoma SR5 pulling a 3,000 pound (dry) trailer with LOTS of gear in both the trailer and truck. 55-60 mph.

12 mpg + on flat.
18 mpg + in the mountains.

No, those numbers are not reversed. I get better fuel economy in the mountains than I do on the flat.

The OP is asking about a FR3 motorhome's fuel mileage.

That's why he posted this in the Motorhome section's FR3 sub-forum.

7.8 mpg (US of course), with FR3 30DS 2015 with no toad.
7.4 mpg, with a closed aluminum trailer 6 x 12 weighing 1500 lbs with gears.
That's mostly highway and main roads average, being VERY polite with the right foot, at 55-60mph.

9.5 mpg with a Leprechaun 240FS that included a climb over Tioga Pass (9949 ft) and downhill to the Mother Lode area of Calif and back up over Carson Pass (8652 ft) and back home to Reno. Rode a $5.75 shuttle bus to Yosemite Valley from Groveland and some of the 20 million that trample this popular park.

I really need to teach that right foot to behave better, it just keeps wanting to keep it up around 70

I also track every gas up. Home is in the Midwest but the camper has been from San Diego to Maine. Data range 2015 to present. 23,937 Miles.

Towing (67% of miles): 7.04 mpg
Not towing: 8.16 mpg
Overall Average: 7.33
Generator Hours: 10.2

I've burned over 3,200 gallons. $7,620 total.

It sounds like a lot of money, and it is, but the fun we've had, the sights we've seen, and the new friends made and old the ones seen again make it well worth it.
