Flat tow a manual transmission 2013 Subaru Crosstrek with a 2011 Sunseeker 2300, Ford E350 V10. Blue Ox base plate; Ready Brute Elite tow bar and braking system.

The Crosstrek requires no elaborate preparation to tow: simply release parking brake, set key to ACC position, and set transmission to neutral. It tows very well, and as has been stated, has a road clearance similar to that of at Jeep. It is a comfortable and economical passenger car for city and highway driving and is capable of moderate off-road excursions. IMO it is a great choice for a toad.
