Window measurement please

Hey all, the sliding window that is above the love seat blew out while I was on the road, Saturday.

Can I please trouble someone to measure their window, just the one that slides, that is above the love seat.

The glass company that our insurance company put us with needs it.

Length, and height please.

Thank you!!!!

Hey Gunny,

I just happen to have my 2016 30DS sitting outside, so I went out and measured the sliding portion of the window over the sofa. It measures approximately 26" X 20". You can probably add 1/4" to 1/2" for the portion that would be in the window frame.

Hope this helps.

So how did the window actually blow out? Sounds like there had to be some sort of frame failure, or even worse a significant pressure differential maybe like when a very large vehicle passes by.

Frame failure is plausible.. Negative on the large vehicle. It just shattered on one of the smoother parts of 287 in North TX. (Cactus, TX)

When we googled it, this is something that is more common that I care for.

Now that's scary! I was under the impression that all the windows in an RV were safety rated similar to automobile windows. I'll have to look for that little safety logo in the corner of all the windows.

DOT 269, That references the manufacturer.

I am thinking seriously about putting a sheet of plexiglass in the back of a closet!

On a lighter note, the duct tape held up for about 1k miles!

4 week lead time for a replacement window. Yep, plexiglass.

Wow that is a long time. Hard to believe it takes so long to get parts for an RV. We had the same wait for parts in the past.
