Wonder just how secure new jeeps are?

I love my Jeep and towing it is cake. Before moving to the current combo, we had a 2007 Chevy Silverado Classic HD Crewcab Diesel 4x4 pulling a FR Cherokee 28A+. The truck was stolen from my work parking lot in under 3 minutes in March 2015. After parts of it were found, the detective told me GM had a glitch, these guys break-in, hook into the computer, override everything, and they're gone. Pretty sure any car can be hacked, supply and demand is what fuels theft.

It's with all new vehicles. A friend of ours got a job in Detroit w/Delphi Automotive. He's a white hat hacker, sits in different cars all day with a laptop hacking away. He's looking for the many ways the computers can be broken into so they can fix the loopholes, trying to stay ahead of the black hats. Like Antone said, it's supply and demand. Apparently, right now, many people want a Jeep.

Could've happened with any new car. The criminals just happened to select Jeep.

I had old info I guess, took a few and drove out to the Army Surplus outfit, you has your choice of colour, tan or green.

I did not have the time to price them out today but will try Friday.

If you're worried about someone stealing your Jeep, just order a stick-shift. Bad guys won't be able to drive it.
