Yellow spots on ceiling

Hello all. First time writing in. I am having issues with yellow spots on my ceiling. My coach is a 2015 only used 1season last year for us. Dealer has it dealing with other issues as well. Would appreciate any input.

Hi RUTROAD,
I also have 2015 30DS. I had yellow spots appear almost immediately when I bought my coach. It got worse and worse as the months went by. I pointed it out on my first service for warranty work. It wasn't until the end of the warranty that the dealer decided they could do nothing about it. They contracted the work out to an outside vendor who painted my entire headliner front to rear. It took 3 coats to cover all the stains or constellations as I called them. It was done 2 years and it still looks great. The company who did it does interiors of planes, RVS and boats. The spots are the glue that was used to adhere the headliner to the ceiling of the coach.

Yellow spot ceiling

I have a 2016 Georgetown GT3 and have yellow spots that "look" like glue. I've tried a lot of cleaning items but cannot get them off and it seems to be getting worse. It's like it's stained. I'm so frustrated!

leisurelarry I live in Southern CA, where did you have your ceiling fixed?

Thanks

just the overapplication of the glue and the type of glue they used to mass produce our rigs, like cookie cutters... perhaps they didnt know due to the fact the glue stains , maybe oxidizers, over time. great on the shop floor, not so great 2 yrs later. 🤔

It is the adhesive that they use to bond the ceiling material and the foam insulation. I have some spots on the front two panels but nothing else on the others. I guess it depends on the crew and the day of build.

My spots are in the front, over the driver and passenger seats, and a few near the front door. Does anyone have suggestions on how to get rid of it?

You should be able to VERY Carefully scrap it off with a razor blade,,, or maybe you can find a paint that will match your wallboard ???

I once worked as a Service Manager for a manufactured home dealership,,, I would spend hours scraping that crap off the walls !!!

If you could see some of the tools the installers use you would die !!!
I have a hammer that I found above a Kitchen Cabinet,,, you would not believe the amount dried glue on the handle !!! I believe the glue starts out clear,,, but as it ages it turns yellow !!!

Ready2Camp,,,
In the past I have seen wallboard in Manufactures Homes so bad we had to replace the wallboard !!!
I will say it seams that the RV builders are a little more careful than that !!!
We had a couple of bad spots above the bed in our Sunseeker 2500TS that I dobbed some white paint on,,, not a perfect fix,,, but better than Yellow !!!
The paint I used was not glossy enough !!!
GOOD LUCK !!!
