Update: Last item to be repaired under warranty. Dealer sublet the job out and it looks better than new. The entire headliner was painted front to rear. No more spots or constellations as I referred to them. Dealer had it the coach for one week and it was well worth the wait.
Larry, do you know, or can you find out the brand and type of paint he used? What color, etc.? Would be helpful information for the future.
Sorry but I don't know. If you would like to contact them, they are #1 Vinyl and Leather Repair and have been in business in So Ca for 30 years. Numberonevinyl.com, or (714) 476-0682, Scott is the owner.
After having my coach for 17 months the progression of the staining never stopped. It had become very noticeable throughout the coach. They sprayed 4 coats to cover it, it looks awesome.
We had them and added them to our warranty repair. Forest River covered it. The repair facility used degreaser and then a white chalk. Looks good as new. We looked at a 2016 28ds, brand new and it had those spots as well.
Haven't noticed them on our 2015 FR3 yet, but we did have them on our 2007 FR TT. Definitely going to check and use this forum and our warranty if I see them 😀
Mine have them all over near strips. I noticed on pretty much all the used FR3s..Tried most of glue/paint remover...nothing works.
Guests think I splashed curry/spaghetti sauce on the ceiling.
try using a citrus degreaser to clean these yellow marks
It only made ceiling dull like other member mentioned earlier.
Goof off, acetone, alcohol, krud kutter...nothing works but melts the texture on the ceiling.
2015 30DS here. The coach is in for the 3rd time for this problem. 1st time they tried chemicals to remove the spots -- all over ceiling, not just at joint strips. 2nd time they subcontracted with a painter to remove the spots. When I went to pick up the unit, I could still see spots. grrrr It's in for the 3rd time now. They are going to repaint the entire ceiling. Make sure you look at the bunk area as well - ours had big spots there and the first painter apparently never lowered the bunk. This is a warranty repair item (for the 1st year as I understand it), so I'm insisting it be fixed before my warranty expires in Jan 2016.
