Spare tire holder

Hello All , Was wondering if anyone knew what type of spare tire holder is in this picture. I like this setup as it gets the spare out of the way.

My current setup has the spare upfront in what I would say is a good spot for my Yamaha generator. Would love to have it on the back area.

My wife and I decided to go to a local RV lot and see if we could spot a tire carrier we could use. 99% were all bumper mounts.
Can't use that since I don't have that square metal bumper on mine.

So I took some pictures of one we thought would work well on ours. I haven't looked back at those pictures till tonight.
While looking at the pictures I noticed the screws or bolts or whatever you would like to call them.

I'm not perfect in everything I do. I do take pride in my work and I try my best to make sure the things I do look decent. The screws/bolts installed look bad to me... Sorry I had to get that out

Anyway, I like this setup

I would not want to drill through my unit and hang a heavy tire on it.
Have you thought about mounting under the trailer like this or under the tongue like this? The first link is a new system, I use the second link for my TT. Here are a few pics of mine.
I hate to see you drill through the walls.

Tire mount

I agree with Crunchman I would not want to screw it to the wall. Looks like in the pic it is just wood screws holding it up and I would be afraid after time the screws could give way. I just received a BAL hide a spare yesterday that I will install this weekend to get the spare off the bumper. Cost me $105 including shipping but after holding it up think it should work really well. If you have a spot for it that could be an option for you. Will try to post pics after get it installed

I've used a BAL hide-a-spare undermount on both my current and previous TT. They work great, are easy to get to, and are easy to install.

There will be movement on the tire/bracket screwed into the back ramp. You will cry and kick yourself when the fiberglass starts cracking and the screws come out.

You can order these at camping world, free shipping for member's. There are four different 'styles' to attach it to the framing under the unit, get the correct style/bracketing.

Thanks everyone for the input, pictures and links to the spare tire carriers.

I'm definitely reconsidering my original thoughts and plans on the back ramp mount

Crunchman had me thinking if I could do a simple change to see if it would work.
Here's how it currently looks.

So I got to thinking... Wonder if I could remove it and put it underneath

I think If I can weld a piece of steel on top I can get that tire attached from the bottom

That spare tire winch would work slick. Seriously considering it.

If you do mount the spare to the underside you might want to flip it so that the valve stem points up & is protected from any road debris that might strike the valve stem & dislodge or damage it.

Safe travels!
