So today I decided I wanted to sanitize my water lines before going camping soon. I have the pink RV Antifreeze in the lines now.
I hook up my white drinking water hose to the city water hookup. I want to get all the air out before putting the water pump on.
I feel this should lessen the time the pump stays on and water should flow fairly quickly...
20 mins later my water pump is still running and I have constant air coming out of faucet and toilet water lines. It's driving me crazy at this point wondering what was going on. Pump will not shut off and have water mixed with air...
Long story short.. When I put my bypass kit on temporarily last fall to put antifreeze in the unit. One of the washers fell out. It is inside the connection on the water pump that pumps the water to all needed areas like shower and sink. It looks like a garden hose washer. I reinstalled the washer and pump shut off after 30 secs...
Not my picture but thought I'd share this so maybe someone else may need to rule this simple but frustrating solution out. Where the red arrow is pointing is where the rubber washer went in on mine. Not sure if all are like that or not.
