Sounds like a plan. Once I get them in hand, I'll be able to see if they are 12V or 120V etc. From there its just finding the place to tap in. Thanks for confirming what I was thinking.
I see on Olcoot's picture that his wiring goes into the black panel in lower left of frig access. So I'll start there.

By the way Turbs, I see you are a mechaninc. What do you think of this deal for my 1995 k1500? I got new a/c compressor with 2 yr wty, orifice and canister, plus new water pump, hoses, themostat and system flush, all installed for $325. Did I do alright? Installer is a mechanic at a local privately own mechanic shop that does some work after hours.

I had mine replaced at the dealer with "New Dometic Ones". While the original problem (a Womp Womp sound) was fixed they are still loud. I have a question for the guys who have put in the PC ones ie Turbs and Oldcoot. Were you able to replace them without removing the frige? Mine has two vents on the side one top and one bottom.

Mine didn't have any fans to start with. If I had one with a factory fan, I would just unhook the elec. connection to the fan, install the twin fans down low, just to the left and above the burner with them blowing up and wire them into the original wiring. I put a toggle switch on mine.

My original is near the top access panel so I was considering screwing mine to the inside of the panel blowing outward. Whatever I do, I'll post some pics.
