2016 Legacy-Changes and PDI stuff-LONG, sorry

First, I would like to thank you all for your support and great ideas while waiting for my Legacy to come in!
Took delivery last Thursday. As I mentioned in the other post, we saw it briefly when it came in Monday. We noticed the change in the backsplash (not there) and the dresser and nightstand (wood tops, not marbled ss). What we didn't notice then, but realized on delivery day, was the complete change in the color/style of "exotic cherry" cabinetry. It is very different.....it was shocking. We decided that although it was a very different, more traditional look as opposed to the more modern straight lines, we could live with it. (Although I personally feel it was wrong that FR made those changes on a pre-ordered RV that specified "want all 2015 upgrades".)

Other "2016" changes:
Hardware, on "not so exotic cherry" cabinets,-wider, more traditional/less contemporary.
Tankless HWH is an Atwood OC50CW not a Girard...more on that later!
Brushed nickel shower head looked nice-with 6 settings, but pressure was horrible and metal sheath over hose broke on second use. I replaced the whole thing with an Oxygenics Bodyspa.
Mattress in MBR is not the same quality pillow top seen on others.
Bathroom counter is plastic and sink is plastic.
Microwave is different but is still a Whirlpool convection-actually very nice

That is all I noticed as really different from 2015 specs.

Initial problem detected by dealer:
Apparently when it came into dealer it needed a new transfer switch. That explains why it didn't have any lights when we peeked in the day it arrived at dealership.

Relatively minor issues detected during our first trip:
Scratched tile (replaced)
Kitchen drawer won't close (part ordered)
Door doesn't have a stop-won't stay open (will request different strut)

Dinette seat cushion mis-shapen-smashed in on corner. Foam didn't fill out the leatherette cover. (on order-being replaced)
Bathroom drawer face was [insult to injury] actually the other "exotic
cherry"!!! (correct color on order)

Other- The HWH is a royal PIA! I think I've figured out the whole pressure deal and replaced the regulator with a high flow-50-55 PSI, replaced the shower head and removed the flow regulator from kitchen faucet. Also, adjusted the main temperature control on the HWH (outside). This tankless HWH does NOT have a temperature control knob in the bathroom cabinet like the Girard II. I think we got it figured out but we'll see....

Overall, we feel like the build and quality of our new Legacy is good. It was just a little hard to fall in love instantly when everything on the inside was different from what we ordered.

Mods: Already changed the shower head, hose, and hanger. Removed outside shower hose/head and converted to 15' coil hose/nozzle. Made handles for lids under dinette storage. Built a shelving unit in bedroom wardrobe. And only spent 2.5 days in it so far!!

Looks absolutely great😀 noticed the kitchenette tile backsplash is different. Would like to know how the Atwood performs as that I'm still having issues with the Girrard. Enjoy and be safe.

Thanks! We'll see about the Atwood when we use it next. Hopefully I have all the pressure regulators where they need to be.
FR isn't putting tile backsplash in the 2016s. That is just wallpaper.

Thanks much for the pics. Interesting about the backsplash change. Was not happy how ours looked, however my fix makes it look finished and was easy. I am surprised they changed the bathroom sink to plastic, hope it does well. Will be anxious to see how you like the Atwood WH. We just returned from a 3 week trip and our Girard performed just fine.

One question... any struts to hold the main bed up? Ours had none and I've asked the dealer for some.

No struts under the bed. I ordered a kit and will be installing it tomorrow. So FR is sending you a strut kit?

Haha. I doubt it. I took our rig in to the dealer this morning to finish up the last few little things on our original list and "asked" about the struts. Since no one else got them I will likely be putting them on myself. Figured it didn't hurt to ask since I have never known of any RV's of any kind not to come with them in the first place. Not a big deal to install.
