That is ugly!

Where exactly is it leaking? Can you post a wider photo ?

Did you hear from FR directly or is that what the dealer told you? If so, did you buy it from that dealer?

You need to get that fixed ASAP, don't delay.

Forest river said they were sorry this occurred but no offer of help. They state it is my responsibility even though it is only 11 months old
Both dealer and manufacturers answered this was my problem with no offer of help
Forest river needs to take a page out of the auto industry warranties and stand behind their product. This RV is only 11 months old
Never buy Forest river again
I now know why people get disgusted and end up selling their rv’s

Sorry this happened to you. It does seem odd that FR won't warranty such a new RV, but it is hard to tell the extent/source of damage from the pic.

I can see both sides of the story though. Even on an 11 month old auto you have to do maintenance.

I knew my RV had sat on the dealers lot for many months before I bought it. So the first thing I did was maintenance items like the roof, bearings, tires, and wax. And yes, the dicor on the roof seams needed touching up within a few months.

And being in the southwest, roof seams need maintenance at least twice a year.

Get a repair estimate from a service only independent and go from there. Perhaps they could even try to get FR to rethink the warranty aspect.

Good luck and hopefully you can get past this and enjoy your RV.

How long did it sit on the dealers lot?

Wow, I would like to see a wider photo as well to get a better feel for what is going on here. My Legacy is a 2015 manufactured in '14 and the roof sealant looks great, I was just up on top to check everything out. I wonder if there is some movement in that area that caused the issue?

What "maintenance" is supposed to be done to something that is painted? Personally I think its a bad design that they painted over the caulking.

Painted over caulking is still caulking.

Caulking is made to give as it stretches and contracts in the elements. Paint is not meant to do any of that. The paint will crack.

Time for RV. Armor - lifetime warranty. I did mine in the spring. It would take something as sharp as a knife to penetrate it. No more cracking. After a full summer and likely years of leaking, I am now more relaxed and happy.

I wonder why they don't do a true one piece fiberglass roof without seams, like some of their competitors.

I guess only true bus roofs are without problems, but to heavy and or too expensive for most RVs.
