360rb slide seal

Hey everyone. New member here and first time Forest river owner. I just purchased a 2015 340 360rb legacy. It sure is a nice coach! Noticed on our first trip the rubber seal under the big slide was wrapped up in the rollers! Anyone seen that happen on theirs? Look's like the entire seal needs replacing. Does not look like a fun job! Thanks Scott

Got ours in April, first long trip last month. Noticed the same thing near the end of the trip. They replaced a bad hydraulic cylinder on the slide so I figured they messed it up then. Also have one of the wiper seals that doesn't want to stay turned the right way and top and bottom at both ends are loose. Spoke with FR about what adhesive would work (easier to do some of it myself than take it in). Turns out the adhesive strip is an integral part of the seal. If it comes loose, they should replace the whole seal. Taking it in soon to do just that. Also, check your compartments. Bet they leak, especially the front passenger box.

So far compartments are dry. I looked at all of them after I read a Post about them. Ya probably 60% of that seal is junk. I have been trying to get the dealer to order one. We have owned the coach for 3 weeks now. I am going to replace it myself as soon as I can get one. thanks

The other seal you mentioned is that the one the cable runs through? Noticed that was not attached on the bottom corner in the back of the slide

If you need to order parts, get in touch with Isaac Montgomery at FR. He's very good about responding quickly and can help you with ordering, etc. also check the LED ceiling lights - my other issue. They had some bad batches and mine are going fast.

The side seals on the full wall slide on my RB did not want to turn the right way when extending and retracting it. Per FR guidance, my dealer installed a 6in strip of 1 or 1 1/2 inch wide plastic molding vertically on the sides of the slide. The seal always flips property when passing over the molding.

DrJAG: Any chance we could get a picture of that fix? Sounds like what I need to do. Thanks.

Ill have to look at mine to see if it is doing that also. My issue is the underneath rubber seal became unattached and went over the rollers. do you have any pics of this fix? Thanks Scott

thanks for the reply. The seal I had issues with was the bottom one. I installed my own to replace the factory one. had much better results. I would like to install those side pieces also if you could provide a brand name or part number. I do not want to go back to dealer.

Thanks Scott

There is no specific part number. Any 1 to 1 1/2 inch wide body molding will work. After looking at mine more closely, I think the molding used on mine is polished aluminum, but I would think any materials would work. I think you should be able to get it at any auto parts store.
