Thanks, Blacknchromehd -
Sounds like those compartment doors are a common issue. Please keep us posted if moving the door in fixes it or ? I'd like to just take care of it myself if possible but the seal was my only thought. Looked at how to move the door in but couldn't figure it out.
Other than the doors leaking and the slide cylinder issue (which was nobody's fault), the major issue I had was in the exhaust. I got to looking for the chrome exhaust tip to coordinate a tow shield after we got it home and couldn't find the tip. That's when I discovered the entire exhaust system beyond the end of the DEF tank had been left off! Screw holes were unused, so it didn't just fall off. This is a BIG piece of exhaust pipe! Dealer ordered the part, then forgot to put my appointment on the shop log (it was on his own log) so when we got there we wound up being told at 6:00 PM (9 hours later) that we would need to leave it. Had to get a rental car to come back home (2 hours away); took them over a month to finally reimburse me for that expense (which they had said they would do when we rented it). I was going to drive the RV back home but they wouldn't let me out of the shop as they said the condition was dangerous. Never mind the fact they already drove it down from the factory to Tampa and I drove it home to Orlando and back to Tampa. They had another Legacy missing the same part and it went unnoticed until it went into regen mode and melted the rear of the RV body!
I had very high hopes for our dealer's service team until I actually had to deal with them. Simply pathetic. I understand things happen and plans change, but they do NOT have to lie about it...blatantly!
Still love the unit, just wish there was a little more QC on the part of the factory and a LOT of improvements with the dealer's service.
