Bottom Full Wall Seal

I just noticed, with all the interior lights off and shades down, that light was coming from underneath a three ft section of the full wall slide. Looking at the slide from the outside, it appears that the seal mounted to the bottom of the frame that fills the gap when the slide is open has separated for a few feet aft of where the hydraulic ram is located. I can just barely touch it when I stick my fingers in the gap under the slide. Anybody else had this issue? Is this something l can fix myself or do I need to take it it to a service facility?

I've noticed something similar on our 340bh the first two feet or so of the full wall slide you can see just a tiny bit of daylight. It's been like this since day one as far as I know. I would like to see what the fix for this is as the remaining seal looks normal.

Mine had may have been this way since we bought it too. It doesn't appear to be rubbing wrong or anything.

I don't think water can get in since it is only with slide extended, maybe if you spray the hose when washing it can happen.

Only potential issue would be possible insect intrusion.

Anyone ever come up with something for. The slot for plumbing under sink?

Same thing here. When we first got the coach, one of the hydraulic Rams that work the slide developed an internal leak and had to be replaced. Apparently when the techs did that work they just pulled off the bottom seal and didn't even attempt to replace it. They also pulled loose some of the side seals and left them for me to fix later. Anyway, first time out, I found the lower seal ganging out of the slide when I brought it in. That was about nine months ago and no problems with it so far.

Need some advice.....When we arrived at our campsite a couple days ago, the kitchen slide on my 340BH had trouble extending. It seemed like the rear was moving but the front was hung up. After a couple of tries back and forth, my wife gave a gentle push on the front wall ( ahead of the dinette) and it helped. She continued and this assist helped it extend fully. Anyone know what is wrong? Can someone describe the mechanics of the slide out for me? I see, from the outside, there are 4 serpentine gears running horizontally on the top and bottom, front and back of each slide. Are there 4 independent motors and worm gears that move the slide or are these just what the slide runs on? I've seen mention on here of two hydraulic rams for moving the slide. If the slide doesn't want to come back in on Saturday, what are my options for retracting it?

The slide mechanism on different models vary. On our 360RB, the big living room slide is hydraulic, but the small bedroom slide is geared. There are some detailed manuals available on the Lippert website. As for manually bringing the slide in, if it's hydraulic, you should have a small tool that looks like a long flexible screwdriver and fits in a drill. This tool will plug into the hydraulic pump and the drill used to run the pump. You have to set the valves manually to get the direction of flow needed. Good luck.

The picture is the mechanism on the slide out. Both slide outs look the same. Does this mean they both operate by motor, not hydraulic?

I believe both your slides are motor operated. If a slide is hydraulic, you'll see the ram assembly under the slide.

Gotcha. I bought a can of Slide Out spray lubricant. Just a light coat on those gears be helpful or does that collect dust and grit in the long run?

Should help some. Examine the drive track in your picture and make sure you don't see any sign of wear caused by the drive gear slipping, too.
