Check yours

I was doing an annual inspection/service and found this. It is the elbow from the CAC (air filter) to the turbo. At first it looked like a little loosening of the clamps and adjustment would get the elbow away from the bulkhead and prevent further distortion. Well, look closely at the photo and you will see a large self drilling screw that penetrated the elbow. I remove all of it, repaired the hole, cut and ground the screw, and installed away from the bulkhead.
You might want to check yours as it has potential for unfiltered air to enter the intake.

I'm glad to see no one else had this issue.

Thanks for the pics. I will be checking shortly. Likely be changing my filter when I get home anyway.
