Dash Switches

Has anyone had to replace some of the dash switches? These are the switches for things like the overhead fans, engine brake, etc. I have three which keep falling off while driving.

If so, where did you find replacements. I'm trying, first to match the OEM switches so that they match. Otherwise, will need to replace them all. Ugg

Thanks,

Replaced 2 on my "new" 2017. The plastic hinge snap on points on back are grossly defective in design. MIC! garbage. Had to order via FR or redesign dash - probably will eventually.

So you got them through FR? Same look and design?

You've been on the forum for over a year. Many never post, just get the freebies because they have no desire to assist, just not pay for post warranty service - as if there is any to start with. Why not start with calling FR parts and ask them first, then if no luck ask the forum, or start with the forum, much less effort.

That being said, asking the forum is always great because out of the thousand "lookies" you will see many times on a thread. There are always a few that are there to help and will offer suggestions to places that are an alternative to FR and many times better than the factory lower than WM quality!

BTW, forgot to emphasize, unless you think posters put out fake news like the RV industry - "Had to order via FR" Yes I emailed the parts department with photos to hopefully prevent inevitable mistakes.

I'm not sure I understand your answer, or it's intent

I was wondering about where to get them too. I was thinking freightliner, but the more I think about it, it is most likely Forest River. I am going to call the parts Dept today and find out. I'll let you know

Steve, You can call the factory and ask for the parts dept. They have them and you can order all or some.

That's awesome, thanks! I've got a short list of things to ask them and I'll put those on my list.

I agree with 270S. The plastic hinge snap on points are grossly defective in design. I had two switches break as well. The dealer actually broke one right in front of me when turning on the radio. The other fell off while we were driving.

Forest River replaced both under warranty, but I have a bad feeling these will continue to fail over time.

Thanks for the info. My switches, and other parts I needed, arrived yesterday.

Happy Travels!

My 2017 Legacy has had the same problems with buttons falling off. Had them warrantied when I brought RV in for all warranty repairs.
