Has anyone ever noticed if the step light illuminates with door shut and step extended? For some reason I think my light only works while step is moving, extending or retracting.
My step light illuminates when the steps are extending and retracting. It does not come on when the door is opened with the steps fixed in the extended position. Seems like they should.
If your steps are Kwikee the step light only comes on if the power switch is on (as determined by FR). The light is on when the steps are extended. Light is off when the steps are retracted. If the door is left open the light will turn off after about 5 minutes. I think this is also the conditions for the LCI steps.
