More recently, I found (from RVMobileInternet.com) a Netgear Antenna that performs awesomely. It's specifically for hotspots really improves my speeds:

I am showing my age now, but, can you tell me if this will work on my verizon mifi and also how long the cable is. Do you use in inside or place it outside your rv window?

thanks in advance,
John

I have used my T-Mobile in China as a hotspot and it worked good there, not so good here at home in my area.

iPhones are very "chatty." Much more so than others. When you "think" you are not using it, it's backing up your photos, checking for email, updating social media, downloading voice messages to "Visual Voice Mail," etc.

Auto update is a huge data hog. Turn it off and update apps when WiFi is available. You can also turn off auto backup and then back up manually on WiFi to save even more. Took me a while to figure out what was using so much data when I knew I wasn’t any apps.

I switched from ATT to Verizon last November. The "Unlimited+" plan gets me 22GB of 4G/LTE data. After the 22GB of high speed data, I might be throttled if there's "network congestion". I also signed up for a Verizon jetpack. 15GB of 4G/LTE data after which, the speeds drops, regardless of "network congestion". I routinely use the 15GB on my jetpack in ~ 14 days. My total bill is $116.40/month (I supplied my own iPhone8+ and jetpack).

I also have a Samsung Galaxy Note 8 on the T-Mobile Senior Plan. Unlimited EVERYTHING for TWO people for $60 TOTAL! ALL hotspot/tethering is at 3G speeds. On phone data is 4G/LTE. T-Mobile has really "upped their game" and, T-Mobile coverage has been great everywhere I've traveled.

Yes, it should work. As long as the midi has 2 little round ports (they might be behind hard to move flaps).

The cord is only about 24”.

It installs inside. We usually just prop it up in the window, though it comes with suction cups for hanging.

Just plug it in and speed test it in different windows since it is directional.

Verrizon jet pack

If you exceed the 15 gig, the hot spot is just useless. Can't even handle email. But mine works fine up to that point, if I gave a good Verizon signal
