Inverter compartment fan

There is a small 12v cooling fan in the inverter compartment on our Legacy that I have yet to see run. Does anyone know what that is wired to or when it should run? Like a tree falling in the forest, maybe it runs a lot and I just don't know it.

funny, most folks complain that it runs, and runs, and runs and never stops! Yours may be working find and cutting off when the temp is where it is supposed to be, maybe you just never see it working(?)
Ours runs too much, sometimes when it annoys me, I will touch the sensor with a piece of ice to turn it off. : )
