My next major project within 2 weeks is solar. Im getting a quote on Go Power flexible solar panels that are so durable you can walk on them and they are wafer thin. Im not plugged up to shore power at home that is capable of recharging my coach batteries to keep my fridge running all season. My DW likes to keep the fridge stocked once we kick off the season and not keep loading and unloading it. Not a problem when I had a TT, but this is one I can fix with solar plus I wont have to run the generator down the road which keeps the road noise down. Win win. I will have the install done first week of May.

Love to see pics of your solar install. Working on mine right now as we do a fair amount of boon docking at bluegrass festivals. I am likely to go with 3 160W panels and a 40 amp. MPPT controller and I intend to purchase from Grape solar in Oregon, will do the install myself. Not quite there with all the design yet but getting close. Had similar but smaller systems on the last 3 5'ers that did a great job. Had Kyocera panels and moved them from rig to rig over the years, 20+ years old and when we sold our Montana they were still producing at 100%.

Need some opinions

Think it would be possible to install a small refer in one of the 3 patio side storage bags for adult beverages and soft drinks etc....?

Idea is to minimize the in and out of the coach door and not have to haul coolers and ice all the time.

Aside from losing the storage, the main issues would be mounting it firmly, and a sure way to keep the door closed. Aside from that, I see no reason why you couldn't. I'm sure a small dorm size fridge would work fine, and you should have 110v nearby.

I was thinking about one of those 12v/110 dometic type freezer fridge which put off little to no heat and have latchable doors.

Ideally it would be nice to have it on some sort of pullout tray but would need to be high enough to clear the door opening.

You hit the nail on the head with is it worth losing the storage???? I have plenty of extra space around my various bays but you really don't know the final effect until it is in place unfortunately.

Just bought a SodaStream for the rig. Me and the DW like sparkling water and the kids like a little soda. No more carrying around tons of cans for soda and sparkling water bottles by the case! Reduce waste, weight, and space. Kids get to pick the flavor of the day to add to the fun...Brilliant!

The shelf(horizontal piece) is mounted on top of the square framing on right side and secured with several heavy duty zip ties. On the tank side I was able to use some brackets and self taping screws and fasten to the def tank mounting bracket. The vertical back piece is just secured all around with the heavy duty zip ties. The shelf is very secure and doesn't move when I tug on it.

Finally finished our kitchen back splash so it looks finished. Was simple and came out good.

Thing works like a charm and has crazy suction. My wife loves it. Campers Inn did the install for me and did a great job.

I also had an Carefree Colorado LED light strip put in under the awning that can display like 20 different light colors and can have all kinds of crazy patterns. Cool. When i get it lit up at night I will have to post some pics.

Do you have a picture of where they drilled up through floor? I'm thinking about tackling this myself.

Installed an LED light in our entry handle today. A very simple install. Lower handle is even or slightly lower than the floor and the wires are hidden with no effort. Connected to the little entry step light so it works off the switch to that light. There is already a perfect path for the wires, the sensor wires for the electric step are already ran through a small hole.

So I talked to forest river about installing a pullout fridge freezer in either the very forward passenger side compartment or the one aft of the wheel. Was basically told it couldn't support the weight but when I thought about it I haul a cooler full of beer water and ice any way which I'm sure is even heavier.

Thoughts anyone? This isn't the easiest to figure due to having to clear the door lip.

I just went out and looked at both those compartments... I have a hard time seeing weight as an issue, we all carry heavy "stuff" in compartments. Not sure if you can find a fridge that will clear that lip or not, I think that is the only major issue. Not hard to find an electric line anywhere on the coach.

I think I measured the lip to be around 4".
The fridge would go on one of them raised pullout trays which I believe some raise the floor 4-6 inches.
I'm just sick of lugging ice around and having to replenish all the time.

Did a little plumbing today and installed a valve to fill the fresh water tank via the city water connection. Plumbed so the tank also fills with filtered water as well. Pic below. Labeling looked pretty good until I took the pic, I can see that getting redone tomorrow.

Anyone install the hinges/struts on the under bed storage yet? Is there enough support under there for that, any pictures?

Definitely would like to do this.
